French President Nicolas Sarkozy has made history. No, he hasn't pushed any new political agendas, hasn't transformed the lives of the French. He's married an ex-supermodel - the first time in the history of the Republic that a president has married in office.

- This is the third marriage for Sarkozy (53) and the first for Carla Bruni (40)
- The ready made family comes with 4 kids - 3 for him, 1 for her
- The wedding comes after ~ 3-months of dating
- Sarkozy divorced his wife of 11 years, Cecilia, in October 2007 (there were rumors of infidelities on both sides)
- Sarkozy's approval ratings declined during his much publicized romancing of Bruni
- Sarkozy and Bruni were criticized for cavorting in Egypt, where Bruni wore a tiny black bikini - conservatives in that country were not pleased
Well, the wedding has happened. They are now Mr. and Mrs. Best of luck to them. Here's hoping that this will be the last walk down the aisle for both.
