John McCain recently made it clear that he hopes Fidel Castro leaves the planet earth as soon as possible, and never comes back.
In a somewhat tacky comment, McCain - after an argument with Clinton and Obama on the best way to drive changes in Cuba - said about Castro, "I hope he has the opportunity to meet Karl Marx very soon." Karl Marx, author of "The Communist Manifesto", died in 1883.
McCain - like many - strongly believes that no substantial reforms will be made in Cuba until Castro dies. Maybe so, but wishing for his death really is in poor taste.
