One Vanity License Plate? $14 Million. Thought of ponying up so much moola for a plate: Priceless

At a charity auction on Saturday in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Saeed Khouri - a member of a very wealth family in Abu Dhabi -, was the winning bidder for a vanity license plate, printed simply with "1". Khouri paid $14 Million for the honor.

I am still in shock, but must type a few more sentences. UAE has been auctioning off vanity plates since May 2007 and proceeds go to a rehabilitation center for victims of traffic accidents. On Saturday, proceeds totaled $24 Million for 90 plates.

Ok, I am heading back to my state of shock.
