Mum, when I grow up I want to run around naked

Mark Roberts is one of the world's most famous serial streakers. He has streaked at the FA Cup Final. Streaked at a Mr. Universe Contest and a Miss Word contest. Streaked at the bull run in Pamplona. Streaked at the Royal Ascot. Streaked at Wimbledon. Even streaked at the Super Bowl where Janet Jackson had her infamous wardrobe malfunction. Mark has streaked his way into stardom, sharing what his 'mama gave him' over 300 times to International audiences.

Mark's passion is to bring laugher to the world. "I don't have much going for me down there, so when I run out on the field, people think I'm a woman with small breasts," Roberts said. "But I'm not even conscious of it. We are what we are. I just want to make people laugh."

So, how does one end up becoming a full-time serial streaker? Mark started in 1993 as part of a drunken bet. After seeing a female streaker at a rugby match in Hong Kong, Mark told his friends that anyone could streak. They dared him, and in a drunken stupor he agreed and streaked twice. And he continued to build dramatically from that point on. Mark's mother says that he "was a normal kid but all of the sudden got a little crazy. I think I must have dropped him on his head or something."

Mark's "job" is not without its risks. He has had to pay fines and court costs. "It's the only job where I have to pay to go to work," Roberts said. "But every time you plan on doing something like this, you're going to get caught." In addition, Mark is banned from attending any soccer game in England and Wales. He needs to surrender his passport and important documents before football games and his passport forbids him from ever entering Hong Kong.

Mark is still motivated by having a laugh and so retirement may not come for some time. In the interim, Mark is enjoying his popularity and is able to support himself based on corporate donations and funds from his friends.

I Love New York in Shambles

Oh, oh, Tiffany - Ms. I Love New York - is having some trouble in paradise. See the following from the NY Post:

IT looks like "I Love New York" bimbo Tiffany Pollard, nicknamed "New York" on the reality show, still hasn't found her Prince Charming. She and her latest suitor, Taylor Made (real name: George Weisgerber), fought publicly all night at the opening of new 27th Street lounge Suzie Wong's. After she pointed her finger in his face and yelled at him in front of Shanna Moakler, Simon Rex and Bethenny Frankel inside the club, the duo continued squabbling outside, where Weisgerber head-butted Pollard in the face. "She flipped out," said our spy.

Head-butted?? Really?

P. Diddy - What A Disgrace!

My sister, Tessa, does not like P. Diddy. She can't believe he is in his own perfume ads. She wonders if people will ever buy that product with such a guy promoting it. I am more indifferent about Diddy. But, after reading about Puffy's latest antics, I agree with Tessa 100%.

See below for details from today's NY Post:

Across town at the Axis/Radius club, Sean Combs came off as a misogynistic pig. "I want all the guys in here to put those girls up on your shoulders. And girls I want to see some flashing. I want to see some [breasts]," Combs screamed to the unimpressed crowd, reports The Post's Lukas Alpert.

Later, Combs put on a "lackluster performance" in which he exhorted the crowd not to drink and drive, to practice safe sex and believe in God, along with foul-mouthed tirades against the New England Patriots. "Any Patriots in the house. Yeah boo, boo, mother[bleep]er, boo," Combs yelled to scant applause.

Puffy, you are a smart, successful, and powerful man. Figure out how to treat women. Quickly. You are too smart to play so dumb.

Ms. "$$$ I Love You for You $$$" in Hot Water

Erin Burnett's bosses aren't happy. Apparently her frank interview with Men's Health magazine wasn't taken well.

In the interview, Erin listed her Top 8 ways that men could impress her, which basically boiled down to, spend, spend, spend on me fellas. In an earlier post (see http://kerijam.blogspot.com/2008/01/i-love-you-for-you.html), I said that it seemed like Erin's only two requirements for future suitors were 1) significant wealth and 2) sex = male. Media outlets and her bosses have been less kind.

For more on the Erin backlash, see the following excerpt from today's NY Post:

CNBC Unimpressed with Erin

MARIA Bartiromo's CNBC rival, Erin Burnett, is doing her share to roil the cable business network.

Sources tell Page Six that Burnett, known as the "Street Sweetie," has network suits in an uproar over the narcissistic, money-grubbing feature she penned for Men's Health, titled "Eight Things That Would Impress Me" - with bosses worried it could hurt her and the station's serious news image.

In the jaw-dropping piece, first revealed on this page Monday, Burnett says guys can "unlock" her heart by giving her round-trip, business-class tickets to Australia and New Zealand, sending a yoga instructor and personal chef to her apartment, and treating her and her sisters to a long-weekend spa getaway, among other suggestions.

"This has caused a lot of hand-wringing at the network," an insider told us, suggesting Burnett comes off as a trite, gold-digging hussy. "There's worry she's damaged her brand. Everybody's talking about it and asking, like, 'Why did you do this?' Everybody think it's a major [bleep]-up.' "

A mention of the article on Dealbreaker.com ridiculed it as, "Map to Erin Burnett's [Bleep]." The site later substituted the word "heart" for the vulgarism. "The newsroom was talking about 'Erin Burnett's [bleep].' You've got to wonder who gave her the idea for this story," our source said.

Burnett, who's been dubbed "Maria 2.0" for her rivalry with "Money Honey" Bartiromo, wouldn't talk to us. CNBC flack Brian Steel refused to say whether Burnett's story set off an uproar, repeatedly telling us: "Erin is one of the most respected and insightful journalists on television today.

"It was a fun little piece," Steel said, adding that he had pre-approved Burnett's writing the article.

Burnett's boo-boo takes even more heat off Bartiromo, who last year survived an ethics scandal over globetrotting on Citigroup's private jet with its then-wealth-management chief Todd Thomson, who later got the ax. She also had animal-rights activists screeching for posing in a $3,695 Michael Kors wool coat and gushing about its fluffy fox-fur cuffs.

Our source said: "For the moment it looks like Maria's off the hook. Erin's the problem child now."

$$$$$ I Love You for You $$$

Page Six, in today's NY Post, had an interesting piece about CNBC reporter Erin Burnett. Erin outlined 8 things potential suitors could do to impress her as part of a feature in February's Men's Health magazine. It seems as if Erin's only two requirements for future suitors are 1) significant wealth and 2) sex = male.

Here's the original article from the NY Post:

She Loves Money, Honey
YOU'D better have bank if you want to date Maria Bartiromo's foxy rival at CNBC, Erin Burnett. In her list of "Eight Things That Would Impress Me," in next month's Men's Health, the high-maintenance news hottie advises: "Any guy who can plan a trip to an exotic locale, such as Mongolia, Mozambique or Papua New Guinea, would impress me . . .You could unlock my heart by allowing me to dream up my next trip. I love to travel and hope to eventually set foot in 100 countries . . . Family is important to me, so round-trip business-class tickets to Australia and New Zealand for my parents would earn you big points in my book . . . I'd be impressed if you thought to send a yoga instructor to my apartment for private sessions . . . Hiring a personal chef to prepare meals for the few nights a week I am home would be unforgettable . . . A long weekend spa getaway for my sisters and me would be perfection." Our wallet is exhausted just reading this.

Any chance that Erin is partially joking and that the guy's personality and character play some part in her selection criteria?

Britney Fiasco

Please someone reputable help this poor woman. Her parents have been unable to do anything. Neither her broader family, nor her "friends", some of whom seem more harmful than good. This is becoming scary.

On Thursday night Brit had another meltdown. This time she put her 1-year old at risk and had to be strapped down to a gurney and rushed to a hospital. She refused to return her kids to her ex and when it was time for the court appointed pick up at her home, Brit ran into her bedroom with her 1-year old and locked them both in for 3 hours. Apparently her son was screaming and crying the whole time and police officers had to be called in.

The officers said that Brit seemed to be under the influence and she allegedly had been drinking heavily prior to the officers arrival.

Brit has now been released from the hospital and is back home.

Earlier I asked about the Britney drama, "how will it end?" (http://kerijam.blogspot.com/2007/09/how-will-this-end.html). Now, I am praying for a healthy intervention. Britney is clearly a hazard to herself. Who can help her?

Did you Cry/Smirk/Giggle or Laugh? Be Honest

Paris and Nicky Hilton's heiress status is being threatened. Granddaddy Barron Hilton, is giving away 97% of his billion dollar fortune to charity; his net worth is estimated at $2.3 Bn. Barron's donation includes a $1.2 Bn pledge to the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation (named after his father).

Word on the street is that the hard partying, uncouth Hilton sisters have been an embarrassment to the family name and that Barron's actions are his way of getting revenge on the notorious blondes (well, to be fair, it's more Paris than Nicky).

So, what do you think? How do you feel? Sad for the ladies? Or is that a smile I see?

For more on Barron's slight, see the following article from the New York Post:

PARIS STIFFED
GRAMP'S REVENGE ON HILTON SISTERS: CHARITY TO GET $$
By BILL HOFFMANN

December 27, 2007 -- Hotel billionaire Barron Hilton is stiffing his high-living, hard-partying granddaughters, Paris and Nicky, yesterday announcing plans to give 97 percent of his vast fortune to charity.

His plan includes a $1.2 billion pledge to the Con rad N. Hilton Foundation, named after his father - a donation that includes the windfall from the recent sale of Hilton Hotels Corp. and the pending sale of the world's biggest casino company, Harrah's Enter tainment Inc.

Barron Hilton, 80, chair man of the foundation, intends "to contribute 97 percent of his entire net worth, estimated today at $2.3 billion, including the created trusts, at whatever value it is at the time of his passing," the foundation declared.

There was no immediate comment from Paris.

But family expert Jerry Oppenheimer, author of "House of Hilton," has told The Post that Paris has been an "embarrassment" for the bluebloods, sullying the family name with her vacuous antics.

"Speaking for the family as well as the foundation, we are all exceedingly proud and grateful for this extraordinary commitment," said Steven Hilton, one of Barron's sons and president and chief executive of the foundation.

The "that's hot" model and "Simple Life" reality TV star has been a symbol of celebrity privilege for years, gaining infamy in 2003 when a sex tape of her and a boyfriend made the Internet rounds.

She managed to parlay the notoriety into a celebrity career, including her TV show, a book, a music album and film roles.

This year, she slipped back into infamy with more than three weeks in jail for violating probation in a drunken-driving case.
Barron Hilton's plans for his $1.2 billion windfall is the year's second-largest publicly announced donation, right behind Leona Helmsley's $4 billion to a foundation under her family's name.

The Hilton foundation was established in 1944; Conrad Hilton died in 1979, and left virtually all his money, including his reported 27 percent controlling stake in Hilton Hotels, to the charity.

Barron challenged the will and, after a nearly decade-long legal struggle, reportedly reached an out-of-court settlement to split ownership of the shares with the foundation in 1988.
The hotel group was sold for $20 billion in October to Blackstone Group; the acquisition of Harrah's is due to be completed in early 2008.

The Hilton Foundation describes its mission as "to relieve the suffering, the distressed and the destitute."

Among its interests are projects that provide clean water in Africa, education for blind children, housing for the mentally ill, the work of Roman Catholic sisters, and substance abuse.

Is the Dynasty Destroyed?

Sad day.

Britney's 16-year old little sister, Jamie Lynn, is 3-months pregnant. The dad is her high-school sweetheart and it is not clear if they are still together. I was really hoping that Jamie Lynn would save that family. Please Jamie, there's still hope, don't become a train wreck.

Lynne Spears, Jamie's mom, said she was surprised by Jamie's pregnancy and doesn't understand how it happened since she raised her daughter properly. I think Lynne is living in an alternate reality. Case in point: Britney Spears.

I wish Jamie all the best and hope she makes wise decisions during this time for herself and her child. Keep your head on straight, Jamie!!

For additional details see the following article from today's New York Post

By KATE SHEEHY

December 19, 2007 -- Britney Spears' 16-year-old kid sister - Nickelodeon star Jamie Lynn - is knocked up by her high-school sweetheart.

The baby-faced blond star of TV's tween craze "Zoey 101" says she's already three months preggers by mop-topped Louisiana lover Casey Aldridge - an 18-year-old fellow Christian whom she met at church.

"It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," Jamie Lynn Spears told OK magazine in its new edition, which hits New York newsstands today. "I was in complete and total shock, and so was he."

The teeny-bopper TV star said she first learned she was pregnant after taking an at-home pregnancy test.

"As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn't tell anybody," the teen said, according to The Associated Press.

"Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends.

"I was scared," she said. "But I had to do what was right for me."

The actress said she told her parents just before Thanksgiving.

But it's unclear if she had shared her news with troubled big sis Britney.

Jamie Lynn said her mom was upset at first.

"She was very upset because it wasn't what she expected at all," she said. "A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive."

Mom Lynne Spears insists she brought up her daughter properly and doesn't understand how this could have happened.

"I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious. She's never late for her curfew," the clueless mom said. "I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."
It's unclear if Jamie Lynn and Aldridge are still an item.

The pair reportedly split in early November, to give Aldridge space as he began college in Mississippi. Jamie Lynn was spotted as recently as Monday laying low in Chelsea, taking in a movie with her mom, Pagesix.com reported. Nickelodeon, in a terse statement about one of its biggest little stars, said:

"We respect Jamie Lynn's decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn's well-being."

The teen, asked what advice she would give her pre-teen fans about pre-marital sex, told OK: "I definitely don't think it's something you should do.

"It's better to wait," she chirped. "But I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in."

Is Ho Hum Too Callous?

Love the institution of marriage.

Don't like when it is trivialized.

Couldn't understand why she wasted her time marrying him.

Now news comes that she filed for divorce from him.

Her track record of a couple of months hasn't changed.

Now news comes that she is "working things out" with him and the divorce is on hold.

What is the right reaction?

I didn't get further than 'Ho Hum'...will let you know if anything else comes...

Wait - how about - 'please stop @ 3'?

PAMELA ANDERSON FILES FOR DIVORCE, THEN WAFFLES
December 17, 2007

Apparently, the third time was not the charm for Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon.

According to court documents first obtained by CelebTV.com, the former Playboy Playmate has filed for divorce against her husband of just over two months.

On Dec. 14, Anderson filed a claim for dissolution of marriage in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.

Anderson, 40, and Salomon, 39, a longtime pal, tied the knot on Oct. 6 at the Mirage Hotel Las Vegas. It was the third marriage for both.

The Baywatch babe was previously married to Tommy Lee and Kid Rock. Salomon, who is best known as Paris Hilton's partner in the infamous sex tape, "One Night in Paris," was once married to actress Shannen Doherty of Beverly Hills 90210 fame.

Anderson and Salomon recently shot down rumors they would star in their own TV reality show.

On Thursday, the actress wrote on her blog: "I WAS considering...Only to promote and have people see what it's like to create a show and be on stage starring in a big Vegas production. (probably not happening anymore) not my family life. (Never my kids) I have to make a lot of big decisions. The choices I have to make now are about quality of life. And meaning. Not about money or fame for no good reason. I know I've made a lot of mistakes. But no regrets -- Just living such a huge dream....I'm blessed. So many options. I can't complain. I can be confused."

Pamela Anderson's rep, Cindy Guagenti, had no comment on the split.

In a blog entry on her website Monday, the blonde bombshell also said she has decided to leave Las Vegas, where she's been performing in a magic show for the last six months. As for future plans, Anderson says she'll perform here and there but will mostly concentrate on staying home with her kids: "I'll do a few stage appearances soon/Europe- Wild surprises/legendary stages-to fulfill the exhibitionist in me-that deal is done- but committing to years in Vegas-8-10 shows a week is not going to work for my family- I've never made decisions based on money- and I'd hate to start now- I'm going to work on my dream now- and stay Home--!!!"

Despite her pending divorce petition, Pam seems to be waffling about whether Salomon will be included in her future. In an updated entry on her website Monday, Anderson added the following note: "P.S. We're working things out..."Maybe she should let the court know.

Man Up, Wesley!

Racism still exists. Subtle and overt. It is a serious issue and we shouldn't underestimate its impact. So, it irks me when knuckleheads like Wesley Snipes try to blame their failures or lack of judgement on racism.

Wesley, you screwed up. Accept it. It has nothing to do with your race. You broke the law. You legally are required to pay taxes. As for racism causing poor box office sales for Blade: Trinity, please give us a break! People apparently didn't want to see another Blade sequel (for the record, I liked it - although, I did watch it on DVD). Aside from the fact that the movie starred you, and you are great in the Blade franchise, it also starred Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds...your racism story really holds no water here.

Wes, please stop whining, you're making it harder for people who are legitimately facing the brunt of racism. Man up, and take responsibility. Thanks.

For more details on what I am reacting to, please see the following blurb from today's New York Post (Page Six column by Richard Johnson):

---------------------------------

WESLEY Snipes, who's charged with eight counts of tax fraud, is playing the race card. The star tells Entertainment Weekly, "It was easy for people to jump on the 'Wesley's the bad guy' bandwagon. That's where I think the systematic racism comes in. We're conditioned in this country to believe that if there's a problem, the black man is the culprit." As for being in Namibia when federal prosecutors were looking for him, Snipes said, "They positioned it like, 'He's irresponsible, dangerous, guilty, this is why he's in Africa' . . . All these things, they play into our stereotypes . . . They think I'm an evil dude."

Snipes even blames racism for the failure of his 2004 movie, "Blade: Trinity," saying, "There are so few guys who do action and do it well. Even fewer who are African-American. Even fewer who have classical-theater training. So a cat like me coming in, I'm bringing all of that to an action movie. Since there are so few people that do this and have that pedigree, people disregard their contribution." Snipes' case is scheduled to go to trial next month in Florida.

Diddy, is it time for the big "V"?

Diddy, we get that you are a dashing playboy. We get that you love the women. We get that some of them love you back. We get it. We really get it. What we don't get is why you are single-handedly trying to re-populate planet earth. Slow your roll, friend. Please!

Why, Pam? Why?

Pamela Anderson married Rick Solomon on Saturday. Rick is best known for selling his sex tape video with Paris Hilton. This is the 3rd marriage for both. Pam was recently married to Kid Rock for 3 months.

Pammie, why did you do this? Does this make any sense? Slow your roll, please!

Like the Message...Sometimes Want to Throttle the Messenger

Here we go again. Al Sharpton has some good causes, but HE just gets in the way. Sometimes, I immediately want to distance myself from anything he supports. He is just too much of a showman; he comes across as going after publicity vs. caring about the issues at hand.

Here's Al's latest stance...

----------------------------------------
Oct. 6, 2007 New York Post

The Rev. Al Sharpton is threatening a boycott of the Knicks unless coach Isiah Thomas apologizes to all women for suggesting he has no problem with calling a black woman a "bitch."

"We are calling on him to apologize because of what came out during the deposition . . . when he said it was all right for black men to call black women 'bitches,' " said Sharpton. "It is inexcusable for any man of any race to call black women or any women 'bitch.' "

Sharpton said his National Action Network would organize picket lines around Madison Square Garden during Knicks home games, unless Thomas says he's sorry.

Sharpton, who calls himself a casual Knicks fan, didn't set a deadline for Thomas to apologize. Representatives for Madison Square Garden did not respond to calls for a comment.

After Thomas' videotaped remarks aired in public, he responded from the witness stand and outside the courthouse trying to explain his own statements. "Let's not mischaracterize what I said. What I said is, it is always wrong for any man to call a woman a bitch. I didn't do that, and I would never do it," Thomas said last month.

Sharpton said Thomas' remarks could set a "dangerous social pattern" if he's not challenged because of Thomas' status as a role model. The Hall of Famer cemented his legacy as the captain of the Detroit Pistons, who won back-to-back world championship titles in 1989 and 1990. Thomas and the Garden suffered a public relations nightmare from the Manhattan federal court verdict. Thomas, who proclaimed he's "innocent" of the sexual harassment charges, plans to appeal along with the Garden.

Sharpton's organization launched an initiative to promote "decency" after radio talk show host Don Imus slammed the Rutgers University women's basketball team by tagging them as "nappy-headed hos" on his show. Sharpton declined to discuss what he thought about Sanders' lawsuit against Thomas. "Since it went public, he has to deal with it," said Sharpton. "I hope he has the decency to deal with it."

---------------------------------------

Pretty legit cause, Al. I just wish you didn't come across as a used cars salesman.
