Rappers seem to be taking over a lot of the prime roles in movie land these days and some actors are upset! Upset enough to write a new play about it.
J. Kyle Manzay writes, directs and stars in a new play - The Actor's Rap! - a comedy focusing on who has the credibility: actors or rappers? The storyline centers around a "group of actors who are frustrated by the rappers turned actors who keep stealing their roles. Taking matters into their own hands, the actors kidnap today's hottest rapper in order to secure a coveted role in an upcoming film."

Launch of Big Think ('YouTube for ideas')
My cousin, Karyn, alerted me about the launch of a new website today called Big Think (http://www.bigthink.com/). The site is positioned as a "YouTube for ideas" and was developed in response to what the creators felt was a great thirst for intellectual content - which was not readily available on the web.
The site includes commentary from well known intellectuals and movers and shakers and also allows user generated content, thereby fostering debates and information sharing on a wide variety of topics.
The business model for Big Think is largely the traditional advertising one - amass viewers then sell ads on the site.
I had a cursory look at the website, and have added it to "My Favourites" list. It sounds like a great idea...let's see how it unfolds.
Big Think's mission statement:
Our task is to move the discussion away from talking heads and talking points, and give it back to you. In practice, this means that our information is truly interactive. When you log on to our site, you can access hundreds of hours of direct, unfiltered interviews with today’s leading thinkers, movers and shakers. You can search them by question or by topic, and, best of all, respond in kind.
